Project Description
The Pre-Vocational Skills Development Training Project was initiated to provide young people with practical, employment-oriented vocational skills and prepare them for future livelihood and income-generating opportunities.
Under the project, 20 trainees received training in Tailoring & Dress Making in Ukhiya Upazila, while another 20 trainees received training in Aminship in Teknaf Upazila, making a total of 40 trainees across the two occupational areas. The training was scheduled to commence by 15 September 2023.
The training was conducted according to the Government’s NTVQF Pre-Vocational Level 1 and Level 2 guidelines. Each training program had a duration of three months, with a maximum of 20 trainees per batch.
Participants were provided with training manuals and the necessary training equipment to support effective practical learning. The training was to be delivered by instructors certified by the relevant technical education and national skills development authorities. The project also required proper documentation and maintenance of training records and trainee information.
Expected Result
The project was expected to equip young participants with practical pre-vocational skills that could help them pursue employment and self-employment opportunities.
The key expected outcomes include:
