Project Description
The Pre-Vocational Skills Development Training Project was implemented to provide practical, employment-oriented vocational skills to young people and prepare them for future income-generating opportunities.
Under the project, 40 trainees were enrolled in Tailoring & Dress Making at Ayesha Siddika Islamia Women’s Madrasa in Sadar Upazila, Cox’s Bazar, while another 40 trainees received training in Block Batik at Al Zifar Islamia Center in Sadar Upazila. The overall initiative also included a separate 40-trainee AmanShip training program in Teknaf Upazila.
The training was conducted according to the Government’s NTVQF Pre-Vocational Level 1 and Level 2 guidelines. Each course had a duration of three months, with trainees organized into batches of 20 participants.
Participants were provided with appropriate training manuals and necessary training equipment to support hands-on learning. The courses were delivered by qualified instructors certified by the relevant technical education and national skills development authorities.
Expected Result
The project was expected to develop practical vocational competencies among young participants and equip them with skills that could be applied for employment and self-employment.
The key expected outcomes include:
- Development of practical skills in Tailoring & Dress Making and Block Batik.
- Completion of structured three-month pre-vocational training.
- Improved technical and practical competency among the trainees.
- Preparation of young people for employment and self-employment opportunities.
- Development of skills that can support future income-generating activities.
